What is the difference between a standard bus and a party bus?
A party bus is a specially equipped luxury vehicle that provides additional entertainment features over the standard bus. A party bus typically has fewer seats and a more open floor-plan than a standard bus to allow for more dancing room, but it can also be configured with sofas or chairs that face each other to encourage socializing. Party buses have more amenities including TVs and stereos, wet bars, and sometimes even lasers or fog machines.
Party buses are generally better suited for large groups that want to throw a private party on wheels because of their additional entertainment options. Standard buses are best for transporting small groups from one place to another. Standard buses do not have wet bars, disco lights, or any other entertainment features. They may often be cramped with no space between rows of seating in order to accommodate larger groups of passengers.
Party buses tend to be much more expensive than standard buses because they offer many additional features, but they can usually accommodate a larger number of people as well (with some party buses accommodating up to 50 passengers).
How do I select the right bus for my event?
The key to finding the right party bus is to consider your group size, event type and duration of your trip. With that information you can easily pick out a few fitting buses from our fleet. Here are some of the other things to think about:
-
What’s my budget? We have options for all budgets, so let us know if you have one or not.
-
How many people will be riding? For groups larger than 15, we recommend a limo bus or motor coach. For smaller groups under 15 a mini coach or limo is sure to serve you well!
-
How long is the trip? If it’s less than two hours go with a cruiser. For anything longer, we recommend looking at more spacious options like an executive coach or limo bus.
What are the seating options for my party bus?
Seating options depend on the size of the party bus you choose. Party buses can accommodate approximately 18 to 50 passengers. The seats are arranged in various configurations, depending on the bus you choose. If you’re planning to dance and just put your drink down on a seat, let us know and we can recommend a bus that includes plenty of space for dancing. On the other hand, if you want to be seated during most of your trip, let us know so we can recommend a party bus with lots of available seating and tables. If you want a combination of both dancing and sitting down, we’ll gladly make recommendations based on your needs!
Are there any additional fees associated with renting a party bus?
You should always ask about any additional fees before booking. Sometimes there will be a fuel surcharge applied to the rental price. This is often used by companies as a way to offset the cost of high gas prices and fluctuating fuel costs. Most taxes and fees are included in the quoted rate, but you should ask if there are any additional charges such as airport parking fees or an optional gratuity for the driver. Some limo companies require a minimum amount of time to rent one of their vehicles, while other companies allow rentals for shorter periods of time (2 hours). Ask about overtime rates if you think your party might run over its scheduled time.
How much does it cost to rent a party bus?
Renting a party bus is not as expensive as you might think. You can rent a party bus for as little as $150/hour, depending on the type of bus you choose, the number of hours you are renting it and your location. The more luxurious the amenities of your bus, the higher it costs to rent a party bus. For example, renting an exotic limo-party-bus that can fit 18 passengers could cost you around more than double the cost of renting a shuttle-party-bus that fits 20 people. Your location also impacts rental costs for obvious reasons.
When should I book my reservation with a party bus company?
The sooner you book your reservation with a party bus company, the more likely you are to get the bus that you want. Each company gets booked up quickly, so if you have a specific type of bus in mind, try to book it as soon as possible. You can make a reservation up to one year in advance, if you know exactly what day and time you want your party bus rental. If the weekend is when you need it most, book at least six months in advance—and perhaps even further out than that if it is around Christmas or New Years.
Does the price of my trip cover both transportation and entertainment costs?
Every party bus company is different, but many of them include the cost of entertainment in their hourly rate. However, some do not, so this is something to keep in mind when you are shopping around for companies. It’s also important to remember that if your company does include entertainment in the price, they may not have everything that you need in order to have a great time on board. You should always make sure to ask what type of entertainment is included and whether or not you can request additional items for the bus for an extra charge. Also ask about your options if you would like to provide your own entertainment.
Can my party bring our own food and beverages onboard the bus?
Whether or not you can bring food and beverages on the bus will depend on the rules of the company you’re renting a party bus from.
Will we be able to see sights or make stops along our route?
Yes! There are two ways you can use stops: most of our party buses allow for an hour or more of free, unscheduled stop time in the middle of a trip, and you can also request 30-minute stops at specific attractions along the route. This is great if the group wants to have lunch at a restaurant or hike partway up a mountain before getting back on board again.
How far ahead of time can I schedule my rental, and for how long can I rent a bus for?
